Thanks for joining us on the morning blend. We have Diana cotton back from Radon Delete now I know you’re a raid on reduction company helping to make homes safe from radon gas. So tell us about what radon is. Radon is a naturally occurring gas. It is a known carcinogen, and it is the number two cause of lung cancer, second only to smoking. Wow, and you can’t see it, you can’t see it, there’s no color, there’s no smell, and the only way to know if you have it is to test, and the only way to get rid of it is to install a mitigation system. Okay, so that’s how the SWAT environment keeps us safe from radon. Yes, so what environmentalism? It is a radon mitigation company, so what that means is we come into the homes, and we install a mitigation system that moves the radon from under the foundation of the home outside of the home, where it is then diluted with the air and oxygen.

Okay, and we know we have Justin on set who’s got a model to show us a couple of options of radon mitigation systems. So what do you have, Justin? Thanks, now there are a few different ways to install the radon mitigation system, but they’re all the same concept. We want to create a collection point beneath the foundation, either using the sump pit there or buying a hole that we’d make ourselves, as you see on that side. Then we’ll run piping to the mitigation fan, which powers a system either from the outside of the home or in the attic space, and you always have a pressure gauge on the system, so you know the fans are working correctly. And then, from there, we just run additional piping outside the home either through the roof or on the outside, as you can see over there. Okay, so to protect ourselves from radon and have a system installed, what is the process, so the process is straightforward. You basically would test first to know your radon level and know your risk in your home. If your level comes back above 3.9, so four and higher as per an EPA standard, you’re going to give us a call. And you call one eight hundred no raid on you can also go on to swat raid on calm, and you can get a price for a system will price it out right there for you you let us know if you’d like an interior as Justin was showing or an external system based on what we can do with your home. Then you will schedule your installation. From there, our technician will come out. You’re going to work with them as for the best place to put the system, and then after it’s installed, which is about a half-day process, you’re going to retest. And to make sure your levels do come down, we do all we can to bring them down, and then you’re going to retest every two years after that, and that is a standard nationwide to retest every two years. Wow, I’ve learned so much today, and the original test is straightforward to find out if you have radon in your home, so we encourage people to grab one. Alright, Radon Delete information is on your screen and will have it on Facebook, as well. Thanks so much for joining us on the morning blend and making an agreement.
